Why BlinkNow

Children who are raised, not just housed

BlinkNow runs a children's home and school in Surkhet, Nepal. More than 40 children who've lost parents or faced hardship are raised there in family-style homes, with steady adults who stay.

  • 40+ childrenraised in family-style homes
  • 400+ kidsin a free school
  • A clinicfor the community
  • A women's centrethat trains women, then gives each one a grant to start her own business

And all of it is run by Nepali leadership.

Jay and I have five kids. I understand the difference between just housing a child and raising one, as I know many of you do.

A few weeks ago I saw Between the Mountain and the Sky, the documentary about BlinkNow. The love and dedication that Maggie Doyne, BlinkNow's founder, has poured into these kids and this community is truly incredible. I can't stop thinking about how much she has sacrificed to build this place in Nepal.

So Jay and I want to do something together.

The three topics

You choose what we teach

Spontaneous vs. Responsive Desire

Why one of you might feel desire "out of nowhere" while the other needs to warm up first, and why neither one is broken.

Assume Love First

What changes in your marriage when you start from the belief that your spouse loves you.

Holy, Not Dirty: Untangling Sex and Shame

Where shame about sex comes from, and what the Bible actually says about it.

Your vote counts by the dollar, so a $100 gift counts four times as much as a $25 one. The topic with the most dollars behind it wins, and we're keeping the winner a surprise until the night of the workshop.

$1,500

Enough to cover one child's whole year of school, including meals and healthcare. That's just 60 of us giving $25. Your gift gets us there.

And if this isn't your season to give, that's completely okay.

Thank you for reading this far.
